Australian basketball great Andrew Bogut has ripped into former Footy Show host Craig Hutchison before taking a swing at Port Adelaide legend Kane Cornes.Hutchison — who now hosts Nine’s Footy Classified on Monday nights and SEN radio show Off the Bench on Saturday mornings — is the chairman of NBL team Melbourne United and took a cheeky on-air dig at Bogut, who has spent the past two seasons playing for the Sydney Kings after returning home from the NBA.Kayo is your ticket to the best sport streaming Live & On-Demand. The show’s co-host Liam Pickering grilled Hutchison about why Bogut doesn’t like him, and suggested the pair “break bread” and talk about a possible move from the Kings to United.“There comes a time in your life Picks when there’s no more bread,” Hutchison said. “I can’t break any more bread with any more people.“I have no idea, no idea (why Bogut doesn’t like me). I’ve never had an interaction with him in person or on the phone that was a bad one but he just does not like me, Picks. It’s his prerogative.“He’s his own man.”RELATED: Bogut and Hutchy trade barbs over explosive implicationsHutchison added in jest Bogut was overpaid by the Kings, which appears to be what set the 35-year-old off.The SEN radio station is part of Hutchison’s company Crocmedia and Bogut landed a low blow by suggesting the radio station’s ratings were going the same way as The Footy Show’s under Hutchison’s guidance — before he was axed midway through 2017 and replaced by Eddie McGuire.Bogut also mocked Hutchison’s figure as part of his attack.“Mr @craighutchy! Worry about your failing radio station ratings that are burning cash. Looks like @1116sen will follow The Footy Show under your lead,” Bogut tweeted.“I know VIC is in lockdown and you couldn’t grab your box or 10 of Krispy Kremes for brekky, but keep my name out of your mouth.”Bogut had time for another gibe about Hutchison’s weight when he replied to a tweet suggesting the media figure had clipped the basketballer with a “drive by”.“???? I’d assume drive by. Lord knows the man doesn’t walk anywhere,” Bogut wrote.Cornes, who works alongside Hutchison on Footy Classified and hosts a breakfast radio show in Adelaide on SEN SA, went in to bat for his mate but Bogut wasn’t having it.Later in the program Bogut’s tweets caught Hutchison’s eye but he saw the funny side and had a laugh, declining to take the bait and bite back.
